Who owns the Sci-Fi Channel in the UK. it is my understanding from looking at the website that it is owned byNBC Universal via a subsidery calledSci Fi Channels Europe LLC (see the contact email addresseshere andhere – all at the nbcuni.com domain and the copyright notice at the bottom of the www.scifiuk.com website).
User:Mistress Selina Kyle has edited the infobox to say that is independent and I seem to recall hearing thatVivendi Universal had sold it (way before the merger) but if so - what is with the email addys, can anyone give more authoritive information? –MrWeebleTalkBrit tv11:59, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've also just left some feedback via their website asking them who owns the channel and giving them a link to this article. -Motor (talk)13:01, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Don't hold your breath though:
"Dear Motor,
Thanks for your query. We really appreciate your comments, however due to demand we will endeavour to respond within 2 weeks. In the meantime keep watching the channel and using the website.
Many thanks

Surely the line about it being independant isn't true anymore? On the "about" page it clearly says that the parent company isNBC Universal. You can also access the SciFi UK site viahttp://www.uk.scifi.com/ and even the logo has been changed to match the US version (old logo) --Mercifull10:41, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Over the past months, TV episodes have been redirected by (to name a couple) TTN, Eusebeus and others. No centralized discussion has taken place, so I'm asking everyone who has been involved in this issue to voice their opinions here in this centralized spot, be they pro or anti. Discussion is here[1]. Even if you have not, other opinions are needed because this issue is affecting all TV episodes in Wikipedia. --Maniwar (talk)02:05, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Image:SciFi channel.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used underfair use but there is noexplanation or rationale as to why its use inthis Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to theboilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent withfair use.
Please go tothe image description page and edit it to include afair use rationale. Using one of the templates atWikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described oncriteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at theMedia copyright questions page. Thank you.
