Macedonian being a child system of the Serbian Alphabet

[edit]

Why is this added, it's not like the montenegrin alphabet where its a direct descendant, it was created with more than just inspiration from the serbian alphabetIvanavram (talk)22:02, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

" is a standardized variation of the Cyrillic script used to write Serbo-Croatian, namely its Serbian and Bosnian (mainly in Republika Srpska) standard varieties"

[edit]

Serbo-Croatian as no longer existing and while it was existing it was just a politicly correct way to make a single language for a mix of nations should be removed and replaced with "mainly Serbian with uses in Croatian language". Because in Croatian Cyrillic is not a equal with Latin script but can be used to write in Croatian. Also "Bosnian (mainly in Republika Srpska) standard varieties" should be removed, because in Republica Srpska Serbian language is standard. The way it is written here implies that the official language in Republika Srpska is Bosnian. Or to be politicly correct again you could say that in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Cyrillic script is used to write it's three official languages, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian.212.200.99.130 (talk)10:37, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Serbo-Croatian is spoken by 17 million people and thus obviously exists. Languages are not created or abolished with states. Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian are all official in Republika Srpska.Surtsicna (talk)10:41, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
