I support the phrase "To be determined". ViperSnake151 supports "None, latest model". I don't like this description because it sounds like it's official that nothing will ever follow this in the sequence. Any thoughts??Georgia guy (talk)19:21, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Until the S6 is announced in 2015, it is possible the S5 will not have a successor (although this is very unlikely!). I prefer the "latest model" terminology. Also, this sort of info box shows up on many other articles, consistency is important.Frmorrison (talk)15:34, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Why is there no comparison like on the Galaxy S4 page?
You can create one if you would like to see the variant comparison. I originally created the S4 comparison and I don't see it as necessary anymore, the differences were minor. I would never delete it from the S4 article though.Frmorrison (talk)02:44, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I added a comparison of the first generation S5 models. Will add the LTE+ and Neo devices later. I also need somebody with a more reliable source to verify the LTE bands of the Chinese models since my sources were in disagreement over which were actually supported.Dinjiin (talk)04:53, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I put a merger proposal between S5 Active since the S5 Active and S5 only have eight minor differences and only two are major - the MIL Spec and buttons. Also, the S5 article is is not that long. I created something about the differences. Note the S4 and S4 Active had more than two major differences, so those have two articles.Frmorrison (talk)02:40, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If someone with an account has the time, can you add SM-G900P to the list of S5 models? Noticed it when I was swapping the sd card over. This phone is sold in the US market for the Sprint network.
NFC in all versions? Between the plastic back cover and a L-shaped second plastic foil layer? (Seems to beQi (standard) – hidden in table) According toAmazon NFC is built-in in the battery.
Hello,This edit request is to remove or replace reference number 55, "Samsung SM-G900T Galaxy S5 LTE-A Specs". It redirects to random pages. Curious, I truncated the link to the main site to see if I could find a corrected url for you. This was, samsunggalaxyspecs. com. Arriving there, I was audibly instructed to call a phone number and pay a fee to have a virus removed from my computer. That was a lie, by the way. I have no virus. And reference 56, for example, did not redirect. At any rate, I do not know how to edit Wikipedia pages, but have tried to raise an alarm here.Thank you.Kornshell (talk)18:33, 26 August 2017 (UTC)kornshell[reply]
If I apply the same logic as C to C++ I wouldn't expect info on the S+ on the S page. If there isn't an S+ page consider making one. I'm new so maybe read the ToU carefully and/or wait for another editor to chime in.Somethingsomethingtypo (talk)01:23, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
TheTouchWiz settings menu has been redesigned toflat design for the Samsung Galaxy S5, being the first major setting menu redesign since the beginning of theSamsung Galaxy S series. TheGalaxy Note 3 andGalaxy S4 have received this menu redesign with theAndroid Lollipop update, although with a white background instead a dark blue one.
Icons are purely in white and inside of coloured circles instead of self-colouredclip art icons.
There are three distinct sorting modes:Grid view,List view andTab view.[1][2]
A search feature, introduced on the Galaxy Note 3, has been added as well.[3]
Reverted by @ViperSnake151 for excessive detail andWP:NOTHOWTO, which is understandable. I then rewrote a trimmed-down version:
TheTouchWiz settings menu has been redesigned toflat design and has a new search feature.[3] There are three distinct viewing modes:Grid view,List view andTab view.[1][2]
Alsoreverted with the comment"I still feel this is too trivial even in this form. No other phone goes into that much detail on its settings menu like that".
While I consider this UI feature relevant enough for a mention, because it is a change relative to the predecessors which makes it more relevant, Viper considers it too trivial for a mention. Although I don't mind leaving it out, I am asking here just to hear what other people think. --23:06, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
