Pomp and Celtic "pemp"

"According to Theodor Kraus,The root of the word Pompeii would appear to be the Oscan word for the number five,pompe".

Edward Bulwer-Lytton wrote a novel, "The Last Days of Pompeii".

New Eruption date for Mount Vesuvius

There's been more recent academic debate and theorizing over Mount Vesuvius actually erupting in October that is widely supported by food and graffiti found in the ruins, I was wondering if there could be a section added over this debate and more recent discoveries regarding it.2603:8080:2200:6558:B4DF:62CB:67D:B245 (talk)04:01, 22 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
