can someone elaborate on Pok Fu Lam Tsuen (薄扶林村), I passed by there many times when I was living in the area and never really understood what it was. Wikipedia has a chinese page for it if anyone can provide translation:
"Pok Fu Lam Tsuen is a village located in Pok Fu Lam on Hong Kong Island and which has a 300-plus-year history. During the Revolt of the Three Feudatories in the late 17th century, over 2000 people fled China for Pok Fu Lam Tsuen, becoming Hong Kong's earliest indigenous residents. Local residents have made several people to the government for recognition as indigenous residents on a par with those of the New Territories, but not only were these efforts rebuffed, they also faced the threat of the demolition of the village."
