Nazism is a far-right ideology.

The consensus of political scientists, historians, and otherreliable sources is that Nazism is a far-right ideology andnot a left-wing or far-left one. This has been discussed numerous times. Please seethis FAQand read the talk page archives.
Please do not request that "far-right" be changed to "left-wing" or "far-left"; your request will be denied, and you may be blocked from editing if you persist in doing so.

"Nazi Party" is the English-language common name for the National Socialist German Workers Party.

Per our policy,WP:COMMONNAME, English Wikipedia uses the common name in English for the titles of our articles, and in most references to that subject. Thus "Nazi Party" and "Nazism" are the names of our articles on those subjects, and in most instances the National Socialist German Workers Party is referred to as the Nazi Party, but occasionally, to avoid repetition, by the full English-language name, or by its German acronym, NSDAP.
Please do not request that the name of this article be changed; such requests are routinely turned down.

9% of Americans? More like 9% of a sample of 1000 of em

[edit]

The poll that Wikipedia portrays as saying 9% of Americans support Neo Nazism is really just a poll of 1000 (a pretty small sample size to make claims for the entire country) people, of which 9% said holding Neo nazi views is acceptable. This should be changed to give a more accurate depiction of what that poll actually means.

HiPolkol777. A sample size of 1000 isnot considered quite standard for national public opinion polls. The pdf says "Results have a margin of sampling error of 3.5 points" that is, it could be up to 3.5% less or more. As this is a standard size for a poll, I won't change the text. Friendly,Lova Falk (talk)16:37, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
"Is not considered quite standard" did you mean to say it is considered standard? I don't think putting this 1,000 person study as being representative of the entire country is fair. The text should more accurately reflect the sample sizePolkol777 (talk)17:57, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct about the mistake in my text, thank you for seeing that. However, 1000is common for US polls. Others have been upset about this too:https://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/comments/1b8uc5p/eli5_how_is_it_that_in_the_ussurveys_of_1000_are/ Friendly,Lova Falk (talk)18:22, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I will have to become a more seasoned editor to make this change thenPolkol777 (talk)05:44, 2 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I thoughtNeo-Nazism had higher levels of support in theSouthern United States, since theAmerican Nazi Party is headquartered inVirginia, the openly Neo-NaziWhite Patriot Party used to be active inArkansas, and fellow Neo-Nazi organizationImperial Klans of America is headquartered inKentucky.Dimadick (talk)22:32, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It does. Many people display it along with the Confederate flag.Hennedits (talk)17:01, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Original research

[edit]

Can you please remove the following two statements from the subsection about Ukraine?

  • The statement cited to Zelensky's Telegram is clearly original research. Yes, that is a far-right symbol (National Idea), but calling it neo-Nazi without further context is questionable. The text in the source doesn't mention the symbols. Either this interpretation of the photos should be cited, or the photos shouldn't be mentioned at all.
  • The preceding statement (about Luftwaffe) also isn't properly sourced, I think. Does the source even mention Nazi symbolism (other than the name)?

~2025-33420-06 (talk)15:33, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide the link for the Luftwaffe statement? I have some records I could check.Hennedits (talk)17:03, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean? The source which is cited for the statement? It's reference 252, i.e.https://www.radiosvoboda.org/a/aerorozvidka-interviu-luftwaffe/33007291.html~2025-33637-74 (talk)17:25, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Change the lineNordic Resistance Movement's 2018 "612 march" (on Finnish independence day) to TheNordic Resistance Movement's 2018 "612 march" on Finnish independence day

The reason for the change is that I believe the original caption flows badly and feels awkward to readJesuliz (talk)13:05, 16 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
