The article currently states the Montero Sport is the Outlanders predecessor. This is incorrect, as the Montero Sport (called Challenger in most countries), continues to be built and sold as of 2006, some 3 years after the introduction of the Outlander! What's more, the Montero Sport/Challenger is a mid-sized SUV based on a truck platform, while the Outlander is a compact. I am therefore removing references to the Montero Sport.Davez62113:59, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
airtek should be merged with Outlander
Outlander should be the main article
airtrek should redirect to outlander....--193.77.17.24613:45, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I redirected the Airtrek page here, and (I think) merged all the content. Gave it a small edit while I was at it. I've left a "citation needed" tag against the intro section where I stated thatAirtrek is still the name used in Brazil and Singapore. Inthis Singaporean motoring forum a poster seems to say that their Airtrek is being discontinued too for the 2006 model in favour of Outlander, so I reckon the Airtrek name is being scrapped everywhere.
I've also left the MMC template as is, with the Airtrek listed as a past model.--DeLarge15:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why don't ANY of these car pages have anything helpful such as:-mpg-crash test rating-recalls-major problemsetc
Seriously, why? It's not just this page, its all cars.--71.86.90.104 (talk)17:05, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed this photo, as it's frankly incredibly trivial, and not even strictly accurate. According to MMC Chile's website, both the Outlander and Outlander K2 are available, suggesting that this is basically a different spec. A photo of a badge on the rear door which doesn't even show the rest of the car isn't serving any particular encyclopedic purpose. Regards,--DeLarge (talk)08:23, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's article on SUV says "The term is not used in all countries", yet it is used in the very first line here to describe this car. I have learnt that Wikipedia is often US biased. That is not a good thing when it screws up definitions. Let's try to fix it.HiLo48 (talk)20:23, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Outlanders manufactured in 2017 have an "EV mode" for pure-EV driving.
The wikipedia page incorrectly implies that this is not a feature of the car.— Precedingunsigned comment added by86.170.151.90 (talk)11:29, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have replaced this picture twice but on each occasion my changed has been reverted by Comrade EurovisionNim. I invited him to take the discussion to this talk page (twice) rather than mindlessly reverting my replacement but he is too busy doing what he does for that. The fellow has form. One of his problems (and therefore wikipedia's) seems to be that he has too much time on his hands. But if anyone (else) has time to go through the entire Mitsubishi Outlander entry and come up with a more balanced set of images than our comrade has recently inflicted on it, please do so. Otherwise the casual wikipedia reader will get a very strange idea about where they make and sell Mitsubishi Outlanders. In my (fairly) humble opinion this image highlights several of our friend's evidently incurable blindspots in terms of image quality. It is not as terrible as a lot of the images he has dumped on wikipedia over the past couple of years, but as you will see from my narrative when replacing it, we should - at least in my opinion - be able to do soooo much better. And we can. RegardsCharles01 (talk)12:08, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
