Can somebody revert de article to it's last good format?
Thanks for all the extra info Cam - this entry is looking good now-Greg Godwin
I would like to propose moving the discography to a page called Merzbow Discography, or something like that :)The-dissonance-reports04:12, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
-- I disagree. I like the current layout. But I'm happy to go with whatever the majority think would be best!Lugnuts 18:16, 24 July 2006
I've put in a lot more releases today (31 july 06), there may be some typos. I'm not sure whether to leave the individual releases as links to stubs or not, and the contents box is too big now. The Richard Ramirez link isnt right (or maybe it is) ---130.159.248.222 15:14, 1 August 2006 (UTC)-Run Dna15:15, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Great job with the extra releases!
BTW, whoever sorted out the visual layout of the article: thank YOU!
Yes, thanks it looks much better now
The discography should probably be moved to another article, since it takes up a fair bit of space and is particular obstructive in the table of contents.66.229.160.9404:17, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
--Just re-edited my post there, it seems all the albums listed have been catered for and the discography page exceeded my expectations! Brilliant work!
please help expand these, or they will probably be deleted. --AlexOvShaolin03:29, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
anyone out there have any info on them like if they are available in English or where I can get them (its not even on his website), just for my own personal use, any info would be helpful.—Precedingunsigned comment added byVaughmit (talk •contribs)23:18, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I dont think any are available in English.Run Dna (talk)12:45, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I redid the books section using info from amazon.co.jp and the publisher's sites.
I've only transliterated the main titles, not the subtitles. I'm sure I've made mistakes with the kanji, so if you spot any please fix them.
Transliterated publisher names come from: What they use on their site; what's already used on Wikipedia; and lastly what's most common on google.
Most ISBN numbers are ISBN-10 as they get better results on google, except for a couple I could only find ISBN-13 for.
I removed "Touge No Chaya" and "Club & Saloon", those are just two of many magazines and anthologies Masami Akita has appeared in. I've also remove bit about "Cruelty Free Life" being translated. In the Musique Machine interview from 2006 Masami say: "I hope if someone will translate it in the future." I can't find anywhere that it's actually happening.96.18.16.17 (talk)17:23, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nice work, although I know nothing of the Kanji. I also would like to see these translated. Alan Cummings?Run Dna (talk)23:58, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
"Reiko Akita" seems to be a mis-expansion of "Reiko A". Googling shows only copies of this Wikipedia article, "Dutch Tour 1989" credits, or miscellaneous press (not written by Merzbow). It also doesn't appear on her website. The kanji for her name would be "東玲子", professionally she goes by "Reiko A" or "レイコ・エー". Googling "秋田玲子" +Merzbow or +秋田昌美 shows no results.96.18.209.17 (talk)08:17, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is zusufu actually an ancient Japanese word meaning magnetic? I haven't found any confirmation of this outside of the referenced article. —71.199.114.239 (talk)21:10, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, for the bulk of the project's existence, Merzbow and Masami Akita have been one and the same. Akita isn't notable outside of the project, but has received enough coverage as a person to warrant personal details included. However, I do think the article itself should keep them separate enough. Merzbow doesn't have an early life, Masami Akita has, etc..2803:4600:1116:78C:F9D4:E47D:4D0E:BE7D (talk)08:59, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
