There is no reason for there to be three separate lists ofWonder Woman characters. The enemies inWonder Woman are stillWonder Woman characters and the television series list only includes characters that are already included on the other two lists. Together, these three lists would make up one reasonably sized article. As such,List of Wonder Woman enemies andList of characters in Wonder Woman (TV series) should be merged here.Neelix (talk)13:01, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While I agree that the inother media section was small enough for a merge, the list of enemies was a fairly large list. And as most other major comics characters have them split (for ease of use for our readers), this really should be undone.
So how about this as a start: Look for the ones who only had a single appearance (single issue or story arc). If they have subsequent appearances which could suggest re-splitting perWP:SS, then we can deal with that in the future. But definitely not some (like Antiope) who have appeared in comics for decades. -jc3702:57, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
THEM! desperately needs a re-write to bring it into real world focus. The section under "controversy" with information from the original author would be the way to go with that. Drop a note atWT:CMC and I'm sure they'd be happy to help.
Duke Dazam should be merged two ways, both as part of the list, and also, due to the real-world implications of this apparently being the first appearance of the "multiverse" in what was to be DC Comics, at least some of the info should be merged in that general direction as well (I know we have some articles on this, I'll look later.)
Lya should be merged to the list and toDuke of Deception. With the redirect pointing to the duke.
mona, anti-electric, badra, and tigra should go to the list.
And honestly, I would guess several more of the above could be merged to the list as well: mother juju, Ed Indelicato, Micah Rains, mouse man, and anton unreal.
Morgana has the morgan le fay/fey problem, in that DC has had several versions, and not all were related, except by name. I think merging this, as the "Wonder Woman version" is probably the right thing to do. (both to enemies, and "in other media".
Though at first glance, aegeus and sofia might be merge candidates, aegeus was used in the recent, much hyped, WW #600, so we should probably hold off on those for now. Though a merge/redirect of sofia to the aegeus page might be a decent idea.
Though her appearances are few, I believe Antiope as a character is very important to the Amazons and should remain individual. Her history to Hippolyta and the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall puts her in a class of her own.Artemisboy (talk)18:15, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have completed the merges we both agree should take place. You suggestedWT:CMC might be able to re-writeTHEM! (comics) to demonstrate the individual notability of the group. The only editor who responded tothe note placed there stated that there doesn't seem to be enough sources. Would you object to the article being merged into the enemies list? As forDuke Dazam, you state above that the article should be merged, but you removed the corresponding merge tags. You also mentioned that you plan on looking for other articles to which it should be merged; have you found any? With respect toAegeus (comics) andSofia Constantinas, what can be gained by waiting? If sufficient coverage in reliable secondary sources cannot be found at the present time, they should not have individual articles at the present time. I have searched am not convinced that there is sufficient coverage in reliable secondary sources ofOrana (DC comics),Mike Schorr,Minister Blizzard, andDraska Nishki. Do you know of such coverage? If not, they should be merged into this list. I agree thatAntiope (DC Comics) andCaptain Wonder (DC Comics) should remain unmerged.Neelix (talk)01:05, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, first: A merge is more than just blanking, creating a redirect and delinking. When I have some more time later, I'll see about finishing those merges. If you would like to help in the meantime, it would be most welcome. -jc3703:04, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Merging is only more than redirecting when sourced information is contained on the article being merged. The majority of these merged articles consist entirely of unsourced information. According toWikipedia policy, "any material lacking a reliable source directly supporting it may be removed."Neelix (talk)13:54, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The reliable source in this case is the primary source. As long as no interpretation of the primary source is done (without secondary sourcing), it's fine to include based upon that. -jc3721:39, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
