Merge the articles

[edit]

There are now 3 articles about the Italian Army ranks: One has all ranks, but no text (Italian Army Ranks), the two other have text, but lack all the Warrant Officers. These three articles need to be merged in one. If no one else does it, I will do it- BUT I would like to know first what layout style should be used: either the one inItalian Army Ranks, which I translated from theItalian version or should it be in this style:Spanish Army Ranks???noclador22:34, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mhmm, both the versions give some informations that the other don't give. So I don't know... choose the one you like best and merge the missed informations. --F l a n k e r11:39, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Protection

[edit]

I have protected this article and the template for 7 days. I hope either contact the other and discuss. If, by the time the protection expires, either continues edit warring, I would consider blocking you duethree revert rule violation. --ReyBrujo19:48, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since it appears one of the sides is a sockpuppet of a banned user, I am lowering this to semiprotection. --ReyBrujo00:19, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sottotenente

[edit]

Is this equivalent toSub Lieutenant (which is what this article links)? or toSecond Lieutenant (which is the interwiki forit:sottotenente)? or can it mean either (both are given as translations in my Collins-Sansoni dictionary)?Ian Spackman (talk)10:21, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

you found error here! it must link toSecond Lieutenant and not Sub Lieutenant! Sub Lieutenant is the literal translation, but the correct corresponding rank in English is actually a Second Lieutenant. --noclador (talk)18:26, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for that prompt response!Ian Spackman (talk)18:43, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
