"Intracrine refers to a hormone that acts inside a cell. Steroid hormones act through intracellular (mostly nuclear) receptors and are thus considered as intracrines."

Anon490 (talk) 17:01, 23 February 2018 (UTC)There is no use of intext-citations, making it very difficult to go back and check the credibility of each sentence written in the article. The article is written in simple English that most people, who are not from the scientific community can also follow. However, the author also mentions a few very biomedical specific examples.The author’s use of a very simple dictionary to find the meaning of intracrine is an act of oversimplification. However, The other references used which are articles in scientific journals, are more valid and credible.The talk page also questions that validity of a statement made in the first paragraph. This topic of intracrine was learned by me in this class and others, in a way more detailed context, unlike the oversimplification of the topic used by this author. The author could have also used a few images(while following copyright laws) to facilitate understanding of the internal processes occurring within the body and to facilitate learning by making the content more interesting.Anon490 (talk) 17:01, 23 February 2018 (UTC)Anon490 (talk)17:00, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Put the proper citations, I agree with Vanshika about the picture but also it will be great if you could put more pictures about Intracrine dealing with other receptors (like cell pathway) to give a better understandingSnowy0597 (talk)18:24, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I like the image that you added Anon490; though there are some grammatical errors here and there for example "To better understand Intracrine, we can compare to Paracrine, Autocrine and endocrine".This sentence could be phrased more scientifically by also mentioning what each of these are.Vanshika Patel (talk)01:45, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
