Why is there nothing about Gianni Versace's death in the article? —63.145.26.19419:42, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Versace is a Latinized/Romanized transliteration of the Greek surname Versakis. Reggio is the Latinized transliteration of the ancient Greek Rigion and Calabria has/is a part of Italy that is still influenced and populated by Greeks who still speak Grico/Greco for the last 2,500 years, since that southern part of Italy was known as Magna Graecia.— Precedingunsigned comment added by101.162.70.202 (talk)06:37, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Shouldn't there be some pictures of the clothes he designed instead of one of his house and one of his front gate? I would do it, but I think someone with a little more fashoin sense than me could pick something nicer.Noit00:42, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"Charismatic gay man" is a poor wording, I think...69.248.57.1201:58, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What is the basis for the statement "It has been a mystery to most people how Gianni died"? The article on Andrew Cunanan states in a matter-of-fact manner that he murdered Gianni Versace.Sl— Precedingunsigned comment added by2A02:2F0E:802:FA00:3044:528A:3497:84E8 (talk)21:51, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Gianni Versace and Santo Versace page show different ages for their older sister who died in childhood. Gianni's says 9 and Santo's says 12. I don't knw which is correct, just that one is wrong.Tabicatinthehat (talk)13:23, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Cunanan was a serial killer. None of his other victims were celebrities or well-known. While Versace is very notable, motive is needed to call it assassination (for example, look at the early discussion on what was eventually called Assassination of Charlie Kirk- it was called murder until motive was confirmed), and that evidence does not exist on this page. According to several articles on Wikipedia, it is believed he knew Cunanan from a gay nightclub, and everything I have read on the killings has indicated that his victims were acquaintances- the motive was not political, ideological, military, or religious. The page on Cunanan does not call him an assassin at any point. I realize the documentary title calls this an assassination, but that creative decision should have no bearing on this. If anyone can provide scholarly evidence supporting the claim that this was an assassination (I have tried, and only found the opposite), please cite it and add to the page.2600:8802:D12:2D00:1CFA:8F96:73E3:9511 (talk)16:00, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
