Hello friends,
why does the page preview of Gabriel say "Angels are not women! only Allah and his messengers Know How they Look!"?I thought it was supposed to show the first paragraph or something, not some religious nonsense.— Precedingunsigned comment added by89.103.147.127 (talk)10:26, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I've rolled back to arevision from several weeks ago, because the text had become quite corrupted. Apparently there was some disruptive editing that was not reverted in time. Feel free to review this edit and re-add any edits if necessary. The main thing I noticed was "Michael" being swapped for "Gabriel" and stuff like that.Elizium23 (talk)21:52, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
There seems to be merit to the "Man of God" interpretation. All the Biblical Hebrew commentaries show this as the definition, and do not show "God is my strength". Perhaps we should include both, with sources.Elizium23 (talk)22:21, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Gabriel does have multiple translations as his name is composed of the Hebrew words for man and God, "gebher" and "El". Although the traditional translation is "Fortitudo Dei" or Strength of God, it could also be translated to Man of God.KEleison (talk)22:27, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
I don't understand why it's called that it should be rememberence2604:2D80:B50F:F400:7C6D:2105:35DF:348B (talk)11:23, 10 November 2022 (UTC)
I'm wondering about this because the biblical canon does not describe Gabriel as an archangel; only giving that title to Michael. It is (to my knowledge) only in the Catholic Book of Tobit where he is described thusly. Can we therefore definitively call him an archangel in the article if, in the canon, he is not called an archangel?fr33kman03:21, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
There is a picture attached to the attributes of Angel Gabriel which also shows the face of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
It's now allowed to to show the face of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) or any holy personality.
Kindly delete the picture as soon as possible.2406:D00:DDCC:643D:E2C8:7B43:8ED9:30CD (talk)23:41, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
Muhammad's face is not shown. He's depicted in this picture with a body and blank face.— Precedingunsigned comment added by2601:195:C500:27C0:1483:B181:A9C1:BFC9 (talk)03:38, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
