I believe the sponsor was Norev, not Politoys, though both are miniature toy car manufacturers.159.134.94.2111:18, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Definitely Politoys - seethis 8W article. But thanks for raising something you think might be incorrect on the talk page.DH8586899314:52, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Shouldn't we merge this article withWilliams F1? Even the car names are in a sequence. Isn't it the same team that changed its name?Fsarmony (talk)16:56, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- It's debatable whether FWRC and WPGE/WilliamsF1 are "the same team". Frank Williams originally founded FWRC, then brought inWalter Wolf as a partner. Over time, Frank's level of control diminished to the point where Wolf took over completely and the team becameWalter Wolf Racing. Williams then formed a new team,Williams Grand Prix Engineering (now known asWilliamsF1) withPatrick Head, originally running a customer March before building their own cars starting with theWilliams FW06.Here is a link to the most recent discussion on the matter.DH85868993 (talk)02:11, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wolf-Williams Racing
[edit]Should we have a redirect fromWolf-Williams Racing toFrank Williams Racing Cars. it is the same team that changed its name?92.21.248.44 (talk)17:26, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- A re-direct already exists.Eagleash (talk)17:33, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- To clarify, it didn't when the IP editor posed the question, but it does now.DH85868993 (talk)20:09, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- A re-direct existed from Wolf Williams without the 'racing' (to a section which was subsequently renamed). A re-direct from Wolf Williams Racing was recently requested and declined due to the pre-existing one and the probability that an article which failed notability would be created from it as the the previous Wolf Williams draft did.
