Calcium in biology---2 Non-humans

[edit]
There are some problems of the first paragraph.

Something like[[===formula here</math></math>phosphate]][[Media:Insert non-formatted]]'' ''text hereInsert non-formatted text here===Other eukaryotes==Insert non-formatted text hereInsert non-formatted text here]]'' appear in the text and I think there is no relationship with the text.—Precedingunsigned comment added byDeluxenville (talkcontribs)11:17, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction

[edit]

In Dietary recommendations:"May 27, 2016 it was revised to 1300 mg to bring it into agreement with the RDA."In the table it says: "19-50 years1000"Should the table not say 19-50 years 1300mg?Mermaidthrone (talk)21:54, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For setting Daily Value, the highest RDA not counting pregnancy or lactation. Hence, the table is correct that the RDA for 19-50 is 1000 mg/d but the DV is 1300 mg/d because that is the RDA for teenagers. Another example, the iron RDA for men is 8 mg but because the RDA for women who are pre-menopause is 18 mg. the DV is 18 mg.David notMD (talk)01:25, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
