Pronunciation of this Mississippi town's name is more often BROOK-haven; it's not as variable as the Alabama city Mobile, which can be on first or second syllable, even by the same person in a single sentence.—Precedingunsigned comment added by209.244.187.97 (talk)05:26, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You are wrong. The pronounciation is more on the second sylable. Brook-hAven. The page got it right. I don't know who you are, but you apparently need to visit Brookhaven. I have family in the area.Dramaticaddict18923 (talk)01:37, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Another editor has just reverted my removal of several non-notable and/or unsourced residents, without explanation. I will briefly wait for discussion on this matter before removing them again. -SummerPhD (talk)20:09, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For Bruce Brady now has two sources. One demonstrates, beyond a shadow of a doubt that his works are for sale. If that makes him notable, the list of notable residents of Philadelphia will be quite long. The other source, titled "President Reagen" at ...regen.html, is on Brady's own site. This demonstrates that he feels his photo op with President Reagan was notable. Good for him. There is still no eveidence that he is anotable individual. His homepage (not currently citedhttp://www.bradybronze.com/) does establish that he has a mailing address in Brookhaven.
Frank Moak has two sources. The first establishes his hometown in Brookhaven and that he is a member of the non-notableHerring Gas Cycling Team. The second source does the same. We need sources to establish his notability. We have none.
For Dr. Kim Sessums we now have four sources. The first is his personal website. While it does not -- in any way -- establish his notability, it does state he has a studio in Brookhaven. The second source establishes that he designed a sculpture (not a claim of notability). The third source (ARTnews) is a step toward notability, but insufficient by itself, IMO. The final source, while a typically blustery piece of peacockery, convinces me there likely are sources to establish notability for Sessums. I'm going to establish a redlink for him and see what I can build article-wise.
Rick Robinson was not notable. His article was deleted, probably after he created it himself[1].
I know I'm not up on all things wikipedia, but it seems that both Brady and Sessums have completed the "The person's work either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums, or had works in many significant libraries." Brady having one of his pieces in Reagan's collection and on display at the White House and having designed theConerly Trophy. Sessums has designed the Bailey Howell trophy as well as the significant monuments ofJohnny Vaught and the "Vicksburg Campaign" to honor African Americans who were in the Civil War. Brady died several years ago, probably in 2002 when his website was last updated. I'm also going to change Sessums from sculptor to artist since Sessums works in other media as well (such as pencil), and Brady from artist to sculptor (since all he did was sculpt), author. Brady was the editor of Outdoor Life for many years.[2]Jmerchant29 (talk)20:28, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
