Dear all,In the cassette section, the current version of the article reads "... as there was no A-to-D converter in the computer".I'm afraid that's not accurate.Paddles plugged into the joystick ports have a variable resistance, and this analog signal is converted by the computer into a numeric 0-228 (or was it 1-228?) value.So there IS an A-to-D converter in the Atari 8-bit computers.Kind regards,Ldelsarte (talk)15:57, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
