Please add the following to the front of the "Israeli Arabs" section:

Of all groups surveyed, a 2010 Pew Research global poll found that Israeli Arabs have the lowest rate of anti-Jewish attitudes in the Middle East.[1]

The first paragraph needs improvement

[edit]

The real reasons there’s so much antisemitism in the Middle East:Nakba,Killings and massacres during the 1948 Palestine war,Israeli torture in the occupied territories,Israeli demolition of Palestinian property,Price tag attack policy,Zionist political violence,Jewish religious terrorism,Blockade of the Gaza Strip,Dahiya doctrine, etc. I think this article would be improved if these things were mentioned in the first paragraph.ILoveHirasawaYui (talk)05:45, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a useful suggestion. Articles are based on what reliable sources say, not on what editors believe.Zerotalk12:01, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Arabs cannot be antisemitic as Arabs are semites

We know that theSemites include Arabs.

Why start with rise?

[edit]

Even before providing a general overview or describing what the article is about, it starts with a claim about a "growing problem." Shouldn't that be at least paragraph two? This smacks of bias against the Muslim world. Antisemitism in Christianity doesn't start with the same kind of narrative.Jamabdi (talk)23:45, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

recent revert

[edit]
User:GHcool why did you revert my linking of authors? (Incidentally, the editor who compiled the list,User:Zero0000, thanked me for the very same edit).
I am trying to familiarise myself to the subject, and your reversal of linking of author-names isn't helping,Huldra (talk)23:20, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In the section
"Opinion polling
In 2008, a Pew Research Center survey found that negative views concerning Jews were most common in the three predominantly Arab nations polled, with 97% of Lebanese having unfavorable opinion of Jews, 95% in Egypt, and 96% in Jordan"

This article is biased

[edit]

“ Traditionally, Jews in the Muslim world were considered to be People of the Book and were subjected to dhimmi status. They were afforded relative security against persecution, provided they did not contest the varying inferior social and legal status imposed on them under Islamic rule.”

‘The reasons for this exodus are disputed’

[edit]

Attached source [8] Shenhav notes the disputed nature but the citation itself does not consider his conclusion, which rests it primarily on prolonged violence against Jewish communities in those areas. Request replacing ‘reasons… are disputed’ with ‘reason… is considered to be primarily due to prolonged violence against Jews.’ Alternatively, the sentence can be kept the same provided the inclusion of an additional citation which gives an opposing scholarly view.Spacedog11 (talk)12:39, 14 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
