A number of articles relating to early periods in North American History have been proposed for deletion because "Archaeology of the Americas gives accepted phases for North American history; this segment appears to be arbitrary."
I disagree with this, this article (and its siblings) are obviously intended to form a timeline that could be overlaid over other regions of the world without reference to geographically-specific "phases." Furthermore, the cited article describes the five phases as "simplistic" and notes that they have been replaced with "more local classifications."Crypticfirefly05:22, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
