Inaccuracies

[edit]

It says that "This is also Luton Town's first season in the Premier League" (2024-25) which is not true as their first season in the premier league was 2023-24 seasonKatherine Northey (talk)20:37, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The article states that, under 'Teams'...'the first time since the 1997–98 season that all three promoted teams were relegated after just one season.[23]' This is incorrect, the same thing happened the previous season, and the incorrect nature of this statement is also highlighted by the third-last paragraph of the previous section which states,'meaning that for the second season in a row, all three promoted teams went straight back down'.— Precedingunsigned comment added by86.177.243.133 (talk)00:26, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That statement refers to the 3 teams in the previous season that the promoted teams were replacing. It is probably excessively detailed to mention that there though.Spike 'em (talk)08:55, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Working on the page

[edit]

Since Liverpool beat Luton 4-1 on Wednesday, I've been working on this page.109.255.215.141 (talk)17:06, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New edit.

[edit]

I added Newcastle as a team that will compete in this season as Newcastle are 22 points ahead of Luton Town with 21 points left on offer for Luton, so Newcastle have ensured their survival in the 2024-25 premier league.Wolvesfan77 (talk)21:34, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop adding Fulham

[edit]

@Joelio344 please stop adding Fulham to the article, they are not yet safe. They're on 39 points and Luton can still reach 40 pointsReda84100 (talk)19:37, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Everton

[edit]

Someone can add Everton now as they have secured safety with a win over Brentford, who are also safe because of other results.Saopamsdjej (talk)18:37, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Chelsea

[edit]

Chelsea basically called the Maresca thing a done deal, so he is basically Chelsea’s new manager.Right?2603:6012:800:3AB2:A08F:4C6F:7419:F690 (talk)23:16, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Top assists

[edit]

Why no top assists stat?2A00:23CC:D80B:6C00:C81:E5C4:9EE1:AE4E (talk)02:01, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I also think this should be added, but there seem to be some global consensus not to add assists as it may not be correct data, since different organisations count assists differently, and some are not meticulously gathered. This is not the case for the Premier League, but that's the consensus.Red Devil (talk)06:48, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Caretaker managers

[edit]

As there has been some dispute between myself and others on here, should caretakers who are only in charge for one game be listed in managerial changes, especially after the permanent manager has already been confirmed? I understand for example, Ruud van Nistelrooy's spell at Manchester United, because he was in charge for a number of weeks, and any caretaker/interim who is in charge for a substantial amount of time (number of weeks, a month) should be there, but one game I think is pushing it too far, and not overly relevant to the season in general.— Precedingunsigned comment added by80.41.21.94 (talk)19:23, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Does that mean that Leighton Baines should be removed as he only managed Everton for one game, which wasn't even in the Premier League.hi (talk)20:24, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

possible qualification for ucl

[edit]

who tf removed it. just put it it's between the 2 shittiest teams and it's once in a lifetime might as well add it for visuals2406:3003:2002:3F1B:AE5B:1060:DFA7:F8ED (talk)01:11, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Brighton Europe Qualification

[edit]

Since Chelsea won the UECL, and as stated in the UEFA pathway—UECL winners receive direct entry into the league stage of the 2025–26 UEL season—shouldn't Brighton qualify for the UECL play-off round instead of Nottingham Forest? Chelsea has already secured a place in the UCL through their league position, so that Europa League berth should logically be passed down to the 7th best (Nottingham Forest), which in turn would allow the 8th best team (Brighton) to enter the UECL play-off round next season. Am I right?

Credmaster 20 (talk)15:22, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No, that EL berth disappears: it has been covered extensively in media articles. The only way that 8th could have qualified was if Chelsea won and they or Newcastle finished 7th.Spike 'em (talk)17:02, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The winners of the Conference League qualify for the Europa League. However,if Enzo Maresca’s team win in Wroclaw and finish in the top five they will take their place in the Champions League and no other Premier League team will get their Europa League spot. But should Chelsea win the Conference League and finish sixth, with Newcastle finishing seventh....the team finishing eighth in the Premier League would then qualify for the Conference League....Should Chelsea win the Conference League and finish seventh... the team in eighth would qualify for the Conference League.
