Talisia is agenus of 52species offlowering plants in the familySapindaceae, native totropical regions of theAmericas. The genus is closely related toMelicoccus, with some species sometimes included in that genus.
The species areevergreentrees andshrubs growing to 20 m tall, with pinnateleaves. Theflowers are individually inconspicuous, produced inpanicles. The fruit is an ovaldrupe 2–4 cm long containing one or twoseeds surrounded by a translucent crisp, juicy layer of fruit pulp and a thin orange or brown skin; in several species the fruit pulp is edible.
