Talaf (Arabic:طلف) is a village in northwesternSyria, administratively part of theHama Governorate, located southwest ofHama. Nearby localities includeMusa al-Houla to the north,Hirbnafsah to the northeast,Kisin to the east,Burj Qa'i to the south,Taldou to the southwest andKafr Laha andTell Dahab to the west. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics, Talaf had a population of 4,934 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlySunni Muslims ofTurkmen descent.[2][3]
