Christakis Omirou Mavris (Greek:Χριστάκης Ομήρου Μαυρής; born 5 June 1956), sometimes referred to asChristos Omirou,Christos Mavris or simplyTakis Mavris (Greek:Τάκης Μαυρής), is a Cypriot formerfootballer who played as amidfielder and made 17 appearances for theCyprus national team.[2]
Mavris made his debut forCyprus on 27 October 1976 in a1978 FIFA World Cup qualification match againstDenmark, which finished as a 0–5 loss. He went on to make 17 appearances, scoring 1 goal, before making his last appearance on 23 December 1984 in a1986 FIFA World Cup qualification match against theNetherlands, which finished as a 0–1 loss.[3]
