Takekawa Station (武川駅,Takekawa-eki) is a passengerrailway station located in the city ofFukaya, Saitama, Japan, operated by theprivate railway operatorChichibu Railway.

Station layout

The station is staffed and consists of a singleisland platform serving two tracks. Three freight loops and additional sidings lie to the north of the platform tracks.[2]

History

The station opened on 7 October 1901 asTanaka Station (田中駅). It was renamed Takekawa from 24 June 1903.[1]

In fiscal 2018, the station was used by an average of 951 passengers daily.[3]
