TheTaita shrew (Suncus aequatorius) is an extantspecies ofwhite-toothed shrew from two localities in theTaita Hills mountain range in theTaita-Taveta District of southwesternKenya.[2] Given the continuing decline in the quality of thishabitat, and the limitations in its range, theIUCN recognises the shrew as anendangered species.[2]
