Tai Meuay (/tajmɯaj/),Tai Meuy (/tajmɤːj/), orTày Mười is aSouthwestern Tai language spoken inBolikhamxay Province,Laos. Phonological and anthropological evidence show that it is most closely related to theTai Daeng (Red Tai) language. Tai Meuay also displays lexical similarities with Tay language varieties ofNghệ An Province, Vietnam.[1][2]
Tai Meuay has been documented by Souksada Soutthixay.[3][4]
Tai Meuay is spoken inKhamkeut District,Pakkading District, andViengthong District ofBolikhamxay Province,Laos, and also in other nearby areas within central Laos.[1]
