TheTahoe Knight Monsters are an American minor league professionalice hockey team based in theLake Tahoe area. The team made its debut in theECHL in the 2024–25 season, playing their home games atTahoe Blue Event Center inStateline, Nevada.
Currently, the Knight Monsters are affiliated with theVegas Golden Knights of theNational Hockey League and theHenderson Silver Knights of theAmerican Hockey League.[6]
On July 10, 2023, the ECHL awarded an expansion team to theLake Tahoe area to start play in the 2024–25 season.[7][8][9] The ownership group consists ofTim Tebow and David Hodges. The club will play in the newly constructedTahoe Blue Event Center located inStateline, Nevada, nearSouth Lake Tahoe, California. The Knight Monsters broadcaster and manager of communications is Khalin Kapoor.
On November 30, 2023, the team unveiled its name and logo, noting inspiration from the folklore monsterTahoe Tessie.[10][11]
On July 16, 2024 after months of speculation, the Knight Monsters announced a multi-year affiliation agreement with theVegas Golden Knights andHenderson Silver Knights.[6]
