TheTagol Murut language is spoken by theTagol (highland) subgroup of theMurut people, and serves as thelingua franca of the whole group. It belongs to theBornean subdivision of theAustronesian language family. Tagol Murut people can be found in Sabah and Sarawak, usually in areas aroundSipitang,Tenom,Lawas,Limbang, and along the border areas shared withBrunei andIndonesia.
