Tabogon, officially theMunicipality of Tabogon (Cebuano:Lungsod sa Tabogon;Tagalog:Bayan ng Tabogon), is amunicipality in theprovince ofCebu,Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 41,432 people.[3]
Tabogon may come from the archaic Visayan wordtabog, which means "busy", in reference to the bustling farm fields that dotted this place during the olden times; hencetabogon would mean a busy place of work.[5]
Tabogon is bordered on the north by the city ofBogo, to the west by the town ofSan Remigio, on the east by theCamotes Sea, and on the south by the town ofBorbon.
Tabogon is politically subdivided into 25 barangays. Each barangay consists ofpuroks and some havesitios.
