TCR Panama (officially theTCR Panama Touring Car Championship) is a national touring car racing series held in Panama that runs under the internationalTCR technical regulations. The championship was established in 2025 and held its inaugural event at theAutódromo Panamá in February 2025.
The creation of TCR Panama was announced ahead of the 2025 season as part of an agreement between local promoters and theWSC Group, the global rights holder of the TCR concept. The championship marked the arrival of the TCR format in Panama, with its debut weekend taking place on 22–23 February 2025 at Autódromo Panamá.[1]
The series follows the international TCR technical regulations for production-based front-wheel-drive touring cars with turbocharged 1.75–2.0-litre engines and standardizedBalance of Performance adjustments. Sporting and technical details, such as weight, tyres and penalties, are defined by the WSC Group framework and the national sporting regulations issued by the local organiser.
Each round typically consists of free practice sessions, a qualifying session and two races per weekend, similar to other national TCR championships. The Race Durations are 20 Minutes per Race. The points system are set out in the official sporting regulations for each season.
Race Number 2, 5-10 will be broadcast live in 2025. They will be shown on the YouTube channel of "Autodromo Panama" with Spanish commentary and on Motorsport Televisions Deutschland's YouTube channel with German commentary. Race 1, 3 & 4 was not broadcast.
All five race weekends of the 2025 season are held exclusively at theAutódromo Panamá near La Chorrera, Panama.[1]
Emilio Valverde was crowned as the first champion of the series during the final race weekend of the season.[2][better source needed]
