Témiscamingue (French pronunciation:[temiskamɛ̃ɡ]) is aregional county municipality in theAbitibi-Témiscamingue region of westernQuebec, Canada. The county seat isVille-Marie.[2]
Though Témiscamingue bordersPontiac Regional County Municipality to the south, it is not practical to travel between the two within Quebec without taking a major detour north towardsQuebec Route 117. The shorter route is to cross intoOntario atNotre-Dame-du-Nord orTémiscaming and travel south onHighway 11, then east onHighway 17, before crossing back atL'Isle-aux-Allumettes.
