Szałot (Silesian pronunciation:[ˈʂawɔt]; is aSilesianpotato salad. It can be made with diced,boiledpotatoes,carrots,peas,ham, varioussausages,fish, boiledeggs, and bonded witholive oil ormayonnaise.[1] There are many variations on the dish.[2] In 2006, szałot was placed on the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's list of regional and traditional foods.[3]
