Sayed Askar Mousavi (Dari:سید عسکر موسوی) is a writer and novelist fromAfghanistan. He is the author ofThe Hazaras of Afghanistan published on January 29, 2009, byCambridge University.[1]
Sayed Askar Mousavi was born in 1956 in a family belonging to theSayyid ethnic group inKarte Sakhi area ofKabul,Afghanistan.[2]
He was educated at theUniversity of East Anglia (BA Development Studies, 1987) andSt Antony's College, Oxford (MLitt; Ph.D.). Sayed Askar Mousavi was a prominent figure in the "cultural struggle" of theAfghan Mujahideen in Iran during theSoviet occupation. He was the main writer and editor of a few publications, includingSaaf, andJawali.
