Svyetlahorsk (Belarusian:Светлагорск,romanizedSvietlahorsk,[a]IPA:[sʲvʲetɫaˈɣorsk]) orSvetlogorsk (Russian:Светлогорск), previously known asShatsilki[b] until 1961, is a town inGomel Region, in south-easternBelarus. It serves as the administrative center ofSvyetlahorsk District.[2] It is situated on theBerezina River. In 2019, its population was 67,054.[3] As of 2025, it has a population of 61,812.[1]
