Svitlana Vasylivna Tarabarova (Ukrainian:Світлана Василівна Тарабарова; born 26 July 1990) is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, music producer, and actress.
Tarabarova was born on 26 July 1990 inKherson in a large family. Her father worked in a factory and her mother was a kindergarten teacher. As a child she dreamed of becoming a chauffeur and then a singer. She attended music school and various clubs. At the age of 13 she became a member of the dance group "Oasis".[1] After graduating from school, she moved toKyiv. She graduated from theKyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts.[2]
She is the winner of theSong of the Year 2014 music award and the Golden Firebird award in theBreakthrough of the Year category.[3][4] For three years in a row (2017–2019), her songs were chosen as amongst the best songs of the year in the Ukrainian Music Platform Music Award.
On 11 October 2016, Tarabarova married her director Oleksii Bondar.[5] On 9 September 2018 she gave birth to a son Ivan[6] and on 23 September 2020, her daughter Mariia was born.[7]
In 2023, she became the music producer ofNatsvidbir na Dytiache Yevrobachennia, the Ukrainian national selection for theJunior Eurovision Song Contest. Since then, she has written three entries that would go on to be selected for the contest: "Kvitka" performed by Anastasiia Dymyd (which placed fifth in2023),[8] "Hear Me Now" performed byArtem Kotenko (which placed third in2024) and "Motanka" performed by Sofiia Nersesian (which placed second in2025, the country's best result since2013).[9]
