Sundaram Ramakrishnan was an Indian space scientist[1][2] and a former director ofVikram Sarabhai Space Centre, who is known to have contributed to the development ofPolar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).[3] He has served theIndian Space Research Organization[1][2] for over 40 years.
Ramakrishnan, who is credited with several scientific papers on space science,[4] was honoured by theGovernment of India in 2003 with thePadma Shri, the fourth-highest Indian civilian award.[5]
