2 sulochrin + O2{\displaystyle \rightleftharpoons } 2 (+)-bisdechlorogeodin + 2 H2O

Thus, the twosubstrates of this enzyme aresulochrin andO2, whereas its twoproducts are(+)-bisdechlorogeodin andH2O.

This enzyme belongs to the family ofoxidoreductases, specifically those acting on X-H and Y-H to form an X-Y bond with oxygen as acceptor. Thesystematic name of this enzyme class issulochrin:oxygen oxidoreductase (cyclizing, (+)-specific). This enzyme is also calledsulochrin oxidase.
