Greek river-god

InGreek mythology,Strymon (/stryˈmɔːn/;Ancient Greek: Στρυμών) was ariver-god and son of theTitansOceanus and his sister-wifeTethys.[1] He was a king ofThrace.[2] By theMuses,[3]Euterpe[4] orCalliope[5] orTerpsichore,[6] he became the father ofRhesus. His other sons wereOlynthus[7] andBrangas.[2]

Neaera bore Strymon's daughter,Evadne who became the wife of KingArgus.[8] He was also the father ofTereine who motheredThrassa by the godAres.[9] Another daughter,Rhodope became the mother ofAthos byPoseidon.[10]
