Punching combinations are an essential part ofboxing.

Astriking combination (generally referred to as acombination or "combo") is a combination ofstrikes performed in rapid succession, usually from astand-up position. If the combination includes onlypunches, it is called apunching combination, and if it includes onlykicks, it is called akicking combination.

Popular striking combinations consist of punches which allow the fighter to shift weight from one leg to the other in a natural rhythm.[1]
