Street Fighter: Resurrection is a live-actionweb mini series developed by director, fight choreographer, writer, actor and martial artistJoey Ansah. The series is based on theStreet Fighter video game series byCapcom, its release coinciding with that ofStreet Fighter V to serve as a promotion.Resurrection is set ten years afterStreet Fighter: Assassin's Fist web series.
Episodes of the series were released weekly byMachinima viaVerizon'sgo90 app from March 15, 2016 to April 5, 2016.[1] The series was later uploaded to Machinima'sYouTube channel on December 19, 2016.
On December 6, 2015, a trailer for the mini series premiered during the Capcom Cup andJoey Ansah was also announced to be developing the series.[5][6] The following day, martial arts actorAlain Moussi announced that he would be playingCharlie Nash, whileMike Moh andChristian Howard would reprise their roles fromAssassin's Fist asRyu andKen.[2][7] Production of the mini series wrapped up on December 15, 2015.[8][9] Laura fromStreet Fighter V, Decapre fromStreet Fighter IV and Kolin fromStreet Fighter V also appear in the series portrayed by Natascha Hopkins, Katrina Durden and Amy Olivia Bell respectively.[10][11][12]
The music was composed by Patrick Gill[13][14][15] with contributions from Ryan Ansah and Daniel Braine.[16]
