Stodday is a hamlet in thecivil parish ofAldcliffe-with-Stodday, in theLancaster district, in the county ofLancashire, England. It is just south of the city ofLancaster, near theA588 road and theRiver Lune.
A mile to the south,Ashton Hall is a mansion dating to 1856, now used as the clubhouse ofLancaster Golf Club, incorporating the remains of a 14th-century tower.[1]
It was formerly in thetownship and civil parish ofAshton with Stodday inLancaster Rural District, until this was incorporated into the civil parish of Lancaster in 1935.[2]
