Steven M. Landek (born December 23, 1955) was a member of theIllinois Senate representing the 12th district since his appointment in 2011.[1][2] The 12th district includes all or parts ofBridgeview,Burbank,Bedford Park,McCook,Brookfield,Riverside,Berwyn, andCicero.[3] Prior to the 2011 redistricting he represented the 11th district. He is currently the Mayor of Bridgeview[4] and theLyons TownshipDemocratic Committeeman.[5]

As mayor, Landek oversaw the construction of Toyota Park (nowSeatGeek Stadium), the former home of theChicago Fire Soccer Club and currently, home of theChicago Red Stars.
