Stephen Wacker is an American comic book editor and television, animation, podcast and digital media producer. He was nominated for anEmmy Award forRocket & Groot and has overseen many comic book series atDC Comics andMarvel Comics.[1] He is well known for editing comics such as52,The Amazing Spider-Man,Hawkeye,Ms. Marvel,Daredevil, andCaptain Marvel.

Career

In 2000, Wacker was hired as an assistant editor atDC Comics where he worked on comics includingJLA,JSA, and52.[2][3][4]

He was recruited byMarvel Comics in 2006 and held the position of Senior Editor, working primarily on the Spider-Man titles (includingBrand New Day) andGuardians of the Galaxy franchises.[5] In 2013, he relocated fromMarvel Comics' New York headquarters toMarvel Animation in Los Angeles where he held the position ofVP of Animation.[6] Wacker is credited as co-executive producer on many of their animated series, including theAvengers Assemble andGuardians of the Galaxy series that aired onDisney XD.[7][8] In 2017, he transferred toMarvel Television where he was a VP of Development where he producedMarvel's Hero Project,Marvel's 616, andMarvel's Behind the Mask.[9][10][11] In 2020, Wacker transferred to Marvel Digital Media as VP Head of Content.[12][9] In 2022, he was hired as editor-in-chief at 3W/3M Comics (Three Worlds/Three Moons) and left the following year to pursue an unnamed venture.[13][14]
