Stephen Conolley McCaffrey (born 1945) is an American legal academic.
McCaffrey earned his bachelor's degree from theUniversity of Colorado, followed by aJuris Doctor at theUniversity of California, Berkeley, and a Dr. Jur. from theUniversity of Cologne He was a professor at theSouthwestern University School of Law between 1974 and 1977, when he joined theMcGeorge School of Law at theUniversity of the Pacific. He was appointed Carol Olson Endowed Professor ofInternational Law, and in 2000, became a distinguished professor of law.[1] McCaffrey won theStockholm Water Prize in 2017,[2] and, the next year, received the Distinguished Elisabeth Haub Award forEnvironmental Law and Diplomacy fromPace University'sElisabeth Haub School of Law.[3]
