Stephanie Driver is a British political aide. She served asDowning Street Director of Communications in theStarmer ministry.
Driver is a long-serving aide.[1] She previously worked at theFabian Society.[2] She worked for theSpeaker of the House of CommonsLindsay Hoyle before joining Starmer's office in 2021.[3] She was brought in following theMay 2021 British shadow cabinet reshuffle.[4] She served as press secretary when he wasLeader of the Opposition.[5]
After the2024 United Kingdom general election, she was appointed deputy communications director.[6] In March 2025, she replacedMatthew Doyle asDowning Street Director of Communications.[7] She resigned on 25 September 2025.[8]
