Stav Lemkin (or Lamkin[2]Hebrew:סתיו למקין; born 2 April 2003) is an Israeli professionalfootballer who plays as acenter-back forIsraeli Premier League clubMaccabi Tel Aviv on loan fromUkrainian Premier League clubShakhtar Donetsk and theIsrael national team.
Lemkin was born and raised inTel Aviv, Israel. His father is Israeli lawyer Shachar Lemkin, who also manages his football career.[3][4] His mother Yana Lemkin is a designer and a social-volunteer in Israel, who hails fromSoviet Ukraine (nowUkraine) before her immigration toIsrael, although she still has some relatives who reside in Ukraine.[5][4]
He also holds a Spanish passport, on account of hisSephardi Jewish ancestors, which eases the move to certain European football leagues.[1][6][7]
Since early youth, he had capped internationally with theIsrael national under-16 team (2018), theIsrael national under-17 team (2019–2020), theIsrael national under-19 team (2021–2022), theIsrael national under-20 team (2023), and theIsrael national under-21 team (2022 debut).[8][9]
He made his senior debut for theIsrael national team in 2023.[8]
