Thestatue of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is a statue on Orange Square inBelgravia,London. It stands near180 Ebury Street whereMozart briefly lived and composed hisfirst symphony.[1]
During theMozart family grand tour, Mozart lived for 15 months in London aged eight. Originally, the Mozart family had been staying inLeicester Square but decided to move out to the, at the time, more rural setting ofEbury Street. London was the last stop of the tour.[2]
The statue depicts Mozart at a young age holding a violin and standing on some books. Its design is byPhilip Jackson and was unveiled in 1994 byPrincess Margaret.[3]
