A statue of writerVirginia Woolf sits overlooking theThames atRichmond Riverside inLondon, United Kingdom. It was sculpted byLaury Dizengremel and erected in November 2022.[1]

The statue stands inRichmond, where Woolf established her publishing houseHogarth Press with her husband, named after Hogarth House where the two lived. Cheryl Robson, a fundraiser for the statue, mentioned that Woolf's diaries suggested she would frequently enjoy the views from the banks of the Thames around Richmond.[2][3]

In November 2021, the statue's position created some controversy in relation to thenature of Woolf's death, as she had committed suicide by drowning in a river.[4][5]
