Jabez Lamar Monroe Curry is amarble sculpture depicting theAmerican politician and diplomat of the same name byDante Sodini. The statue was gifted to theNational Statuary Hall Collection from the state ofAlabama in 1908, but was replaced byone depicting Helen Keller in 2009,[1] and relocated toSamford University, where he had served as president from 1865 to 1868.[2] In 2018, Samford returned the statue to theAlabama Department of Archives and History.[3]
