Stan Horne (born 17 December 1944) is an English former professionalfootballer who played as amidfielder. Horne was the first black player in the history of two of his teams -Manchester City andFulham and the second to play forAston Villa.[1][2] He also played forChester,Denver Dynamos andRochdale, making a total of 201 appearances inthe Football League.[3] He was forced to retire from professional football due to high blood pressure.[4]
